About Phil
My name is Phil. I'm a workplace coach.
I'm also a father, a UK government policy manager, an international negotiator, a domestic retrofit advisor, a chair of school governors, a project manager, a media salesman, a writer and a gardener.
I've led and worked in teams that delivered the Windsor Framework, VAT policy on energy saving materials, worked with UK ministers on new schools across London and the south east of England (my favourite). I launched and developed leading websites in the kitchen and bathroom industry. As a Chair of Governors I've helped schools secure good inspection outcomes in difficult circumstances. And... I like to write poems, plays and the occasional short story.
In my first 20 professional years I've gathered a unique insight across all sorts of businesses and organisations. I've seen things that work, things that don't, and things that kinda-do before everyone forgets about them.
I've seen colleagues and friends burn out (and done it myself), struggle to fit in, and take brave steps to fix things. It's not all doom and gloom though. I've been part of some amazing teams, worked on some amazing projects and made some amazing friends.
I decided to become a workplace coach as I want more people to have great experiences at work. You give so much time of your life to work, shouldn't it all be a little more positive?
I love to hear from people, so please email me if you have any questions about me, about what I do, or if you think you can help.
Work with me, and I'm sure we'll make a difference.
